SUMMER DAYS

I CAN... I WILL... I'LL TRY...

4 days of crying + 3 days of screaming and kicking + 9 days of listening and trying = 2 great swimmers.

This summer Chandler and Cooper took 16 days of swim lessons from Coach Carlson. After day 4 and Chandler waking up in the middle of the night screaming, "No Coach, please no!" we decided to continue lessons and boy are we sure glad we did. Chandler and Cooper can now swim! Chandler knows three strokes: freestyle, backstroke, and the breast stroke and Cooper can swim to the wall and float around the pool without any fear. We are so excited for them and they love to swim. Last week we went to a pool party at a public pool and both Chandler and Cooper jumped off the diving board. We were so proud of them because there was no way they would of done it 2 months ago. Way to go Coach! You helped my boys gain confidence in themselves and made swimming so much more fun!

Cookie Monster

So yesterday I was making dinner and Cooper decided to take matters in his own hands and feed Tatum. I had seen him get out the box of chocolate graham crackers but I didn't realize until I looked over and saw this adorable face covered in chocolate that it wasn't for him. Tatum has just started eating cereal the past few weeks and I guess Cooper thought she wanted a treat. Needless to say Tatum thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it.

HYPOCRITES

Okay we know what some of you are thinking... didn't they say, "What's the big deal with a blog? Boy, they must have a lot of time on their hands! We can see why Cody and Chelsea have one (they live in another state and want to keep us posted). We are never going to have one!!" Well I guess you can say we have caved in and want to be just like everyone else, or maybe it's because we can't seem to stop reading everyone's blog and don't want to feel left out, or maybe we think we have a slightly crazy and interesting family. Our blog is going to be a combined effort to capture some fun family moments. We hope you enjoy our story!!
